BTL Ventures was founded in 2008 as way for Brian T. Luerssen to continue his patent, startup, and technology innovation after Proxito and Bouncepad. BTL Ventures is currently preparing to launch 3 new portfolio companies: Sharesplit, ListLert, and SwiftShout Marketing.
About Brian:
Brian founded his first company at the age of 18, and has started and managed multiple companies since then. He started with an IT consulting firm in 2000, which expanded into a team of consultants and dozens of small and midsize clients. Next, in late 2005 with co-founder and friend John Whelan, he launched Proxito, a tech startup focused on providing mobile price comparisons over mobile devices. In 2007, Proxito spun out a side project, Bouncepad, which was focused on providing mobile information services for the real estate industry and received national attention. Brian is currently working on launching his newest pet projects, expecting to launch in late 2009.
He is currently a full-time MBA Candidate at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He also holds a B.S. in Entrepreneurship, Business Management, and International Business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
